ABOUT THE CLASS:
Learn how to paint with purpose and energy; to create paintings that have mood, simple
shapes, and strong values. Ron will show participants how to use deft brushstrokes
that result in loose, transparent paintings. Stocke’s direct method of painting watercolor
has made him one of today’s top workshop instructors.
He says, “I believe watercolor is simply the best medium to capture light, shadow, and
reflective surfaces. I enjoy the process of watercolor and allowing the medium to have
a life of its own. Each year, I care less and less about the details of my subject and
more about capturing the energy in the fewest brushstrokes I can.”
Ron is a nationally acclaimed, award-winning artist. Signature member of the American
Watercolor Society, a Signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, an
Elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolor, and a member of
the National Watercolor Society. He has won numerous awards for his paintings and
has been featured in Watercolor Artist Magazine and Splash. Ron has taught
numerous workshops in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
Each day of the two-day workshop will consist of a demonstration, painting by
participants, and individual assistance by Ron.
All participants will receive a complimentary set of M.Graham watercolor paints.
